JOE McNAMARA DIED SUNDAY

Funeral Services Held Here Wednesday From Catholic Church

Joseph B. McNamara, member of a well-known Union township family and a life-time resident of that community, died at his home there Sunday, Sept. 6. He was 58 years of age.

Mr. McNamara was born in Madison county July 19, 1901, a son of James and Maggie Nolan McNamara. Practically all his life was spent as a farmer and stockman on the farm where he was born and reared.

He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church in Winterset.

He leaves a sister, Mrs. Herman Lewis of Mesa, Ariz.; and three brothers, Martin McNamara of Chanute, Kan., John McNamara of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Frank McNamara of Winterset.

Rosary services were held Tuesday evening from the Richards Funeral home, and funeral services this Wednesday morning from St. Joseph's Catholic church in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. John Higgins, pastor. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
