MRS. ARTHUR GRIMES DIED HERE TUESDAY

Mrs. Arthur Grimes of Peru died Tuesday, Jan. 27, at Madison county Memorial hospital in Winterset, after a lingering illness. She was 47 years of age.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Peru Methodist church.

SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. ARTHUR GRIMES

Funeral services were held last Thursday from the Peru Methodist church for Mrs. Arthur Grimes of Peru, whose death had occurred Jan. 27 at Memorial hospital in Winterset.

Mrs. Grimes, who was a life-long resident of Madison county was 47 years of age at her death. She was the former Alice I. McKeever, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Olver McKeever. She was born in Madison county Jan. 24, 1912.

She was married Dec. 25, 1929 to Flavy Oglesbee. His death occurred in 1938. Her second marriage, on Sept. 26, 1946, was to Arthur Grimes.

She was a member of the Peru Methodist church.

In addition to her husband; she leaves a son, Carl Oglesbee of Truro; her mother, Nellie Chamberlain of Peru; two sisters, Mrs. Lucille Russell of Winterset and Mrs. Ilot Ackelson of Des Moines; two brothers, Wallace and William McKeever of Peru; a step-brother, Lee Chamberlain of Osceola; a step-sister, Mrs. Laura Frazer of Des Moines; three grandchildren; and her grandmother, Mrs. Martha Young of Indianola.

(Burial was made in the Peru cemetery.)
