MRS. MARY E. CARTER DIES AT INDIANOLA

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary E. Carter, aged 69, were held June 22 from Hamilton funeral home in Des Moines. Mrs. Carter had died June 19 at a nursing home in Indianola, after an illness of several months. She had lived in Des Moines about 40 years.

Mrs. Carter was born in Winterset Nov. 12, 1889, a daughter of James V. and Tabitha Ryner Carter. Her husband, Dyle R. Carter, preceded her in death.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Stokes of Ottawa, Ill., a son, Dyle M. Carter of Carmichael, Calif., and four grandchildren.

She was buried in Montpelier cemetery, near Patterson, with grave-side services there.
