Her health became much worse with cancer, shortly after her arrival, and she had been here since that time.

She was a daughter of the late Lum Miller, who died several months ago. Mrs. Bandy is survived by her husband, her sister, and one brother, Ray Miller, of Des Moines.

Rev. W. C. Porter, pastor of the United Presbyterian church, will conduct the funeral services at Tidrick’s funeral home, Thursday, August 28th, at 2 o’clock, and burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.

Lily Bandy

Lily, the youngest daughter of C. C. and Maggie Miller, was born in Winterset, Iowa, on August 6, 1882.

Her girlhood was spent in Winterset, where everyone knew and liked her. After she was grown she traveled a great deal and was in many parts of the United States and Canada. About twenty years ago she was married in Chicago, Illinois, to Richard Bandy, who was in railroad work. Since then they had lived in a number of cities in the west and northwest, but most of the time they had made their home in Winnipeg, Canada.

She united with the Church of Christ in Winterset when a young woman.

She became seriously ill last November and had been bedfast a great deal of the time since. She tried in every way to get medical relief, going to Rochester and other places. She returned to the home of her sister in Winterset, on last June 7th, and passed away after much suffering on August 26th, at the age of 48 years.

She leaves beside her husband, her sister, Mrs. Mrytle Huss, of Winterset, and brother, Ray Miller, of Des Moines, as well as other relatives and many friends.

Rev. W. C. Porter conducted the funeral services at Tidrick’s funeral home, Thursday afternoon, August 28th, and burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
