REV. GEORGE ROGERS DIED JANUARY 25

The Rev. George Rogers, a former pastor of the Winterset Baptist church who has been residing at the J. C. Pensey farm in Florida, for the past ten years, died there Friday, Jan. 25th, after an extended illness. The Rev. Mr. Rogers who was past 80 years of age, served as pastor here in the 1920's.

His funeral and burial services were held at Clinton, Ia., Monday, Jan. 27.

He is survived by his four children: Miss Martha, who is a music instructor and who made her home with him, Mrs. Mary Moore, who resides in Red Oak, and two sons, Bob and Ben Rogers. His wife, who died a number of years ago, is also buried at Clinton, which was their former home.
