FLOYD DUDNEY, Lorimor

Floyd Dudney, 79, of Lorimor died March 26, 2007, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 30, at the First Baptist Church in Winterset with Pastor Mike Carlson officiating. Visitation will be held from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 29, at Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset with the family receiving friends from 6–8 p.m. Burial will be at Lorimor Cemetery.

Floyd Dudney was born March 9, 1928, in Adair County to Earl and Lucille (Forman) Dudney. He served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. His marriage to Janet Louise Green took place Dec. 16, 1965, in Harrison County, Mo. Floyd spent most of his life in the Lorimor area, farming and raising Morgan horses. He was a founding member of the Southwest Iowa Morgan Horse Club and the Iowa Morgan Horse Club.

He was preceded in death by his wife; two sons, Robert Dudney and a son in infancy; two grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a brother, Marion Dudney.

He is survived by his children — Gary W. Dudney, Shirlee A. Siddens Kilpatrick, David C. Dudney and Karen L. Dudney Decker, all of Lorimor, Sharon R. Dudney Ambrose of Kent, David V. Siddens and Don C. Siddens, both of Creston, and Carolyn J. Dudney Cumming of Macksburg; a brother, Owen Dudney of Afton; and 22 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
