J. A. SAUM, AGED 79, DIES AT JEFFERSON

J. A. Saum, a former resident of Winterset, died last Saturday, Feb. 12 at the hospital in Jefferson. He was 79 years of age.

Mr. Saum had been living at Bagley in recent years. He made his home in Winterset for three years, leaving here about 17 years ago.

Mr. Saum was the father of Leland Saum of Winterset, and the grandfather of Mrs. Hubert Jones of Scott township. He also leaves his wife, and several other children.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Christian church at Bagley, and burial was made at Panora.
