ROY M. IMES DIED IN TRUCK CRASH

Two Madison county men were instantly killed in accidents during the past week. The first was a highway crash, and the second a farm machinery accident.

Roy M. Imes, St. Charles truck operator, was killed last Thursday afternoon on Highway 92 near Massena, when the stock truck in which he was riding crashed into a ditch. Mr. Imes was 49 years of age.

The truck was owned by Imes and driven by his nephew, Ivyl Imes, also of St. Charles. They were enroute to Omaha when the wreck occurred. The driver said that something broke suddenly in the driving mechanism of the vehicle, sending it careening into a ditch. The driver was not injured, but the elder Imes died almost instantly.

Mr. Imes is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marie Imes, and a foster son, both of St. Charles, and a brother, Burle Imes of Arvada, Colo.
