CLARK GRIFFEN DIES

Clark Griffen, elderly Webster township farmer, died at his home Monday evening, January 25th from a heart attack. Mr. Griffen who was 76 years of age, had moved from Derby county to Webster township five years ago. He had been in apparent good health and the heart attack caused his death.

The body was taken to Guthrie Center and his funeral services are to be held at the funeral home there Thursday, January 28th at 1 p.m.

Mr. Griffen is survived by a son Earl Griffen of Anita and a daughter, Mrs. Walter Friese, of Guthrie Center. His wife preceded him in death, dying six years ago. He also leaves two brothers and two sisters: Henry Griffen of Wapello, George Griffen and Mrs. Charles Hafner of Guthrie Center, and Mrs. J. W. Belcher of Peoria, Ill.
