On March 28, 1927, he was united in marriage to Miss Fae Yates of Winterset, Iowa, and to this union three children were born to brighten their home: Dorothy May, age 5; Junior Wayne, age 3 and Doris Marie, 21 months, all of which remain to mourn his departure, besides his aged father and mother are: Mrs. Pearl Goodrich, Osceola; Mrs. Opal Pew, of Kipp, Kansas; Mrs. Ethel Green of Guthrie Center; Earl Tolley of Guthrie Center and Miss Lois Tolley of Guthrie Center; also one sister, Lela May that passed away at the age of 9 1/2 months.

Although he has been afflicted for some months his departure came as a great shock to his many friends near Winterset and in the neighborhood of Lorimor where he spent his boyhood days and grew to manhood, although a short period of his wedded life has been in Guthrie county near Guthrie Center.

He was a kind and loving husband and father and was always ready and willing to help his fellow man. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
