Mrs. W. T. Duff

Mrs. Emmaline Milligan Duff passed peacefully away on Monday, October 6th, at about one o’clock, aged 88 years, 1 month and 19 days. Emmaline Milligan was born in Sullivan county, Indiana, August 17, 1842. She moved with her parents to Henderson county, Illinois, in 1851.

When a small child she united with the United Presbyterian church and remained a faithful follower of her Lord until the end. She was married to William T. Duff, February 18, 1874, in Henderson county. To this union were born three children: Clyde; Josephine and Maude, Maude having passed to her reward at the age of 12 years.

Mrs. Duff was one of a family of thirteen children. Her twin sister passed away thirteen years ago. Those who are left to mourn her passing are her husband and two children, Clyde and Josephine, and four grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Will Graham, of Stronghurst, Illinois.

Death of Mrs. Will Duff

Mrs. Will Duff, a pioneer woman of Madison county, died at her home in Madison township Monday afternoon. She was eighty-eight years of age at the time of her death. She came to Madison county with her husband in 1874. Mr. Duff is still living and was ninety-one years of age in September. The funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at her home, conducted by Rev. W. C. Porter and Rev. A. R. Weed. The burial was at the Worthington cemetery.

Mrs. Duff was the daughter of James and Elizabeth Milligan. She was married to Will Duff in 1874 and came to Madison county. She had lived since then on the farm where she died. She is survived by two children, Clyde Duff and Mrs. Josephine McKee.

MRS. WM.DUFF DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS

Mrs. William Duff, eighty-eight years old, died Monday afternoon after a lingering illness. Mrs. Duff fell last spring, breaking a hip. She had never recovered from the shock of the accident or the injury and had been in ill health since that time.

The family located in the Worthington neighborhood many years ago, coming from Ohio.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the home conducted by the Rev. W. C. Porter, pastor of the United Presbyterian church. Burial was in the Worthington cemetery.
