Death of Elsie Zwicky

Mrs. Elsie Berlin Zwicky, a former resident of Winterset, died at Rockwell City, Sunday, September 21st, after a short illness. The body of Mrs. Zwicky was brought here for burial and the Rev. John T. Hall conducted funeral services on Tuesday afternoon, September 23, at 3 o’clock, at Tidrick’s funeral home, and burial was made in the Primitive Baptist cemetery.

The deceased, who was twenty-five years of age, was a daughter of Orindo Florence and Isaac Berlin, and was born here, March 2, 1905. Her girlhood was spent in Winterset, and after her father’s death, when she was ten years of age, she went to the Orphan’s Home at Davenport.

She later lived in Des Moines, and a few years ago she was married to Mr. Zwicky, and they made their home in Davenport. They had one son, Robert. She leaves besides her husband and son, her mother, Mrs. M. Purcell, of Winterset; two sisters, Mrs. Fern Debord, of Patterson, and Opal, whose present address is unknown, and one brother, Clarence, of Glenwood.
