Succumbs at Winterset Hospital After Year of Failing Health
Mrs. Orville White, a well known Madison county woman, died at the Winterset hospital Wednesday after a lingering illness. She was 36 years of age.
Mrs. White was the former Dorothy Gentry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gentry. She was born near Winterset, and this county had alwyas been her home. She had lived for a number of years past near DeSoto, but had recently moved into Winterset. She had been in failing health for the past year.
Mrs. White is survived by her husband, a daughter, Doris, and a son, Francis.
Funeral arrangements had not been completed as the Madisonian went to press.

Dorothy Jane Gentry, eldest daughter of Frank and Minnie Gentry, was born Oct. 18, 1903 and passed away at the Winterset hospital, Aug. 3, 1939, being 35 years, nine months and 16 days of age. She grew to womanhood in Madison county, the place of her birth.
After attending rural schools until graduating from the eighth grade, she entered the Winterset high school where she graduated four years later and taught successfully in the rural schools.
She was united in marriage to Orvil White on Sept. 25, 1922. To this union two children were born, a daughter, Doris, and a son Francis, who are left in the home made desolate without a mother.
Besides her husband and children she leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gentry of Norwalk, a brother, Raymond Gentry of Tacoma, Wash., and a sister, Mrs. Sam Kinnarid of Norwalk, besides many other relatives and a host of friends.
