Funeral Rites Were Held From Ramsey-Richards Home Monday
Mrs. Ida May Sellers, a life-long resident of Madison county, died last Saturday at the home of her brother, Cleveland Harrell, of Scott township. She was 64 years of age.
Mrs. Sellers was born in Scott township on April 8, 1875, the daughter of Lewis and Martha Harrell. She was married to Will A. Sellers on Oct. 3, 1900. For 30 years prior to his death in 1935 they lived in the Zion neighborhood. After the death of her husband, Mrs. Sellers lived in Winterset until last winter, when she moved to the home of her brother.
In girlhood she united with the Zion Union church, and was a long-time attendant there and at Bethel church. At the organization of the Zion Federated church she became a charter member.
She is survived by three sisters: Laura Holmes of Elida, New Mexico; Maggie Schoenenberger of Peru; and Hattie Deal of Newton, Kan.; three brothers, Cass Harrell of Doniphan, Neb., and Frank and Cleveland Harrell of Winterset.
Funeral services were held Monday from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home in Winterset, in charge of the Rev. J. H. Cochrane, Jr., pastor of the Baptist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
