Came Recently From South Dakota, Succumbs to Heart Attack
John L. Niblo of Huron, S. Dak., member of a prominent Madison county family, died last Friday in Winterset while on a trip here visiting old friends and relatives. Death came suddenly. He was stricken with a heart attack at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Maxwell, where he was visiting at the time. He was 57 years of age.
Mr. Niblo was the son of Robert and Gertrude Niblo, and was born near Winterset on Feb. 13, 1882. His early life was spent here, and as a young man he attended the United Presbyterian church.
He was married, on March 22, 1904, to Pearl Hamilton, in Winterset. They next year they moved to Huron where their home had been since that time.
Mr. Niblo is survived by his wife; and a sister, Mrs. Charles Rumford of south of Winterset. He was a brother-in-law of Mrs. W. H. Maxwell.
Funeral services were held from the Anderson home for funerals last Sunday, in charge of the Rev. J. H. Cochrane, Jr., pastor of the Winterset Baptist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
