KENNETH SORENSEN, Winterset

Funeral Services were held for Kenneth Eugene Sorensen, 57, at Grace Baptist Church in Winterset on Fri., Oct. 9 with Pastor Gary Worsham officiating. He died at his home on October 6, 1992. Burial was at Tingley Cemetery.

Mr. Sorensen was born in Audubon County on April 7, 1935, to Richard and Anna (Madsen) Sorensen. He married Diane Weeda on September 22, 1973, in Mount Ayr. He was a technician with the U.S. West Communications and lived in Winterset for the past seven years. He was a member of the Midwest Electric Railway Association and a volunteer at the Scenic Valley Railway in Boone. He served five years, 1954 - 1959, in the U. S. Air Force. Mr. Sorensen was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death was his father.

Surviving relatives include his wife; his mother, a son, John Andrew Sorensen of Winterset; two brothers, Dennis Sorensen of Des Moines, and Dick Lee Sorensen of Adel; and one sister, Beverly Kay Cassler of Des Moines.
