MRS. SAMUEL HUFFMAN DIED LAST WEDNESDAY

Funeral Held Last Friday With Burial Made at New Virginia

Truro--(Special)--Mrs. Samuel G. Huffman, well-known woman of this community, died at her home here on Wednesday of last week. She had been in failing health for about six months. She was 63 years of age.

Mrs. Huffman was the former Carrie Maude Howell, daughter of Albert and Amelia Howell, and was born Oct. 28, 1876, in Clark county. She lived in Clark, Madison and Warren counties all her life, with the exception of a year spent in Texas.

She was married, on Jan. 14, 1903, to Samuel G. Huffman. They were the parents of seven children, of which one daughter, Opal, preceded the mother in death.

She was a long-time member of the Methodist church.

She is survived by her husband; three sons, Leo P. Huffman of St. Charles, Howard Huffman of Borger, Tex., and John E. Huffman of Truro; three daughters, Mrs. Hazel Cherry and Mrs. Helen Scott of Adel, and Mrs. Gertrude Patterson of Truro; a sister, Mrs. Lilly Ervin of Des Moines; a brother, Charles B. Howell of New Virginia; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held from the Truro Methodist church Friday in charge of the Rev. Mrs. Clayton Shepard, assisted by the Rev. W. Watson. Burial was made in the New Virginia cemetery.
