Former Winterset Man Buried at Linn Grove on Tuesday
E. J. Martens, formerly of Winterset died last Saturday at his home in Oklahoma City after several years of failing health. He was 60 years of age.
Mr. Martens made his home in Winterset for five years, being employed by the Jewell Tea company here.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Virginia Martens at home and Mrs. Helen Parkins of Winterset; four brothers, Carl, Raymond, John and George Martens of Martensdale; a sister, Mrs. Mathilda Gates of Norwalk; and one granddaughter.
Funeral services were held Tuesday from Dunn's Funeral home in Des Moines, with burial in Linn Grove cemetery near Prole.
