WILLIAM L. LEDLIE

William L. Ledlie was the eldest son of Joseph and Nancy Ledlie. He was born March 22, 1882 at Earlham, Iowa. Most of his life was spent in and around Earlham. Age, 54 years, 8 months and 26 days.

He was united in marriage to Albertine Rickwardt, Northbrook, Illinois, on February 1, 1906. To this union were born two children, Marshall of Highland Park, Illinois and Lillian Lens of Earlham.

In early life he joined the Presbyterian church of Adel where he placed his church membership with the Methodist Episcopal church of Adel.

Mrs. Ledlie preceded him in death October 20, 1933. Brother Ledlie's last illness was of short duration. Death came February 16, 1937 at the home of his daughter.

Those left to mourn his passing; his children, Marshall and Lillian; his brother, Chester and family; and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Earlham, in charge of the pastor Rev. Hugh S. Mitchell, pastor at 2 p.m. Friday, February 19, 1937. Interment in the Earlham cemetery.
