EMILY MACUMBER DIED ON SUNDAY

Long-Time Resident of This County Had Reached 88 Years of Age

Mrs. Emily Macumber, a long-time resident of Webster township, died at her home west of Winterset Sunday after a long period of failing health. She was 88 years of age.

Mrs. Macumber was the wife of the late L. A. Macumber. She was a native of Ohio, where she was born Dec. 25, 1850. She had spent practically all her long life as a resident of Madison county.

Mrs. Macumber is survived by three children, Clarence Macumber, Gyle Macumber, and Mrs. Oscar Fredrickson, all of Madison county. She also leaves several brothers, in addition to a number of grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home in Winterset, in charge of Rev. A. R. Weed of Carl. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
