MORTUARY - Ralph J. DeVault

Ralph Jerome DeVault, the oldest son of Joseph Jerome and Matilda DeVault, was born Nov. 6, 1884, in Jackson township, Madison county, where he lived until he was taken from us, Dec. 19, 1922, aged 38 years, 1 month and 13 days.

Ralph was united in marriage to Gladys Wright, Jan. 17, 1906. To this union were born four children, three of whom, Bernice, Clair and Lloyd, with their mother, are left to mourn the loss of a kind, loving and indulgent father and husband.

There are also left to mourn his loss, his mother, Matilda DeVault; his brother, Grover, and sister, Lois Crouse. His loss will be keenly felt by all his friends and other relatives.

Ralph's ever readiness and willingness to aid or to do all in his power for a friend or neighbor had gained for him an unusually large circle of friends, all of whom will find the place left by his a difficult one to fill.

Funeral services were held at the M. E. church Thursday, conducted by Rev. Shenton, assisted by Revs. Chancellor and Girdner.
