Emma Allenbrand

Emma Elizabeth, daughter of U. S. and Ida Allenbrand, was born in Custer county, Nebraska, on Feb. 2, 1890 and departed this life in Wilkie, Saskatchewan, Canada, Dec. 16, 1918, age 28 years, 10 months and 14 days.

To know Emma was to love her. She spent most of her young life with her parents. She was an ambitious and studious pupil in school and taught several successful terms of school in Madison, Union and Adair counties. The last three years she spent with her brother in Canada assisting him with the many responsibilities of making the home. Emma had been a great sufferer for a long time but trusted in the Lord and realized she would soon be called Home. Being ready and willing to go, she counted all pains joy in the Lord up until the very last. Her body was laid to rest at the Wilkie cemetery. She leaves to mourn her loss, father, mother, one brother and four sisters and a host of other relatives and friends but our loss is her gain.
