MRS. MARY PEARSON

Mary Barker was born April 4, 1848, near Crawfordsville, Indiana. She moved with her parents to Madison County, Iowa, when a small child. Here she grew to womanhood and gave her hand in marriage to Reuben Bryan. Mr. Bryan died in the army leaving her a young widow with one child, now Mrs. H. T. Maxwell of Denver, Colorado.

She was later married to William Mobley, to this union one son was given, Mr. J. N. Mobley of Blencoe.

Mr. Mobley died while a young man and she later married Thomas Pearson of Macksburg, Iowa. To this union two children were born. Mrs. Elsie Welch, now deceased and Frank Pearson of Sioux City, Iowa.

Funeral services were conducted from the Christian Church Saturday Afternoon, April 16th, at 2:30 p.m. Burial was made in the Onawa Cemetery

Mrs. Pearson is survived by two sons, J. N. Mobley and Frank Pearson, and one daughter, Mrs. H. T. Maxwell, eleven grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren. All of her children were present to attend the funeral.

Note: Mary Barker Bryan Mobley Pearson died April 14, 1921 and was the daughter of Thomas Cox Barker and Barzilla (Hurd) Barker.
