Edith Isabel McCorkle passed away at the Dexter hospital on June 22 at the age of 81 years, 7 months, 22 days.
She was born October 31, 1884 in Clinton county, the daughter of Walter and Ida Benjamin. She had two brothers and two sisters, all of whom have preceded her in death.
Edith McCorkle was united in marriage to George McCorkle on February 22, 1906. From this marriage came four children – Gladys Loschen, Lois Gieber, Walter McCorkle and Jeanette Rold; nine grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
Also surviving are one step-granddaughter, three step-great grandchildren and one step-great great granddaughter.
Edith was a loyal member of the Earlham Methodist church and her life was a fine example of Christian love. She was a wonderful wife and mother and an inspiration to all who knew her.

Mrs. McCorkle was the former Edith Isabel Benjamin, daughter of Walter and Ida Benjamin. She was born October 31, 1884, in Clinton county. On February 22, 1906, she was married to George McCorkle.
She was a member of the Earlham Methodist church.
Mrs. McCorkle leaves four children, Mrs. Gladys Loschen, Mrs. Lois Gleber, Walter McCorkle, and Mrs. Jeanette Rold; nine grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
