Death Of MRS. C. J. RAUSENBERGER

The sad news reached local relatives Tuesday of the death of Mrs. C. J. Rausenberger at her home in Waurika, Okla. This aged lady had only recently been a visitor here at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Geo.Phillips, who accompanied her home a few weeks ago and had just arrived back home. Her advanced age of 84 years caused the trip to be a difficult one, and her condition was far from favorable when her daughter left her side.

The body wil be brought to Earlham, the old home, on Friday morning and a service conducted at the Presbyterian Church by Rev. Girdner pastor at Early Chapel. Interment will be in Earlham Cemetery at the side of the husband, John Rausenberger, who preceded his wife in death many years ago. The following obituary of this good woman is available at this time:

Catherine Jane Moore was born in Monroe County, Tenn. April 23, 1836 and died Oct. 12, 1920 aged 84 years, 5 months and 19 days.

She moved with her parents to Columbus City, Louisa County, Iowa in 1842 and was married to John Rausenberger November 28, 1865. To this union were born four children, Mrs. George Phillips, of Earlham, Iowa, W. A. of Waurika, Okla., H. M. of Columbus Junction and Mrs. M. E. Darby, of Grand Junction, Colo. Also she has eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren

Her husband died on June 9, 1903.

She accepted Christ when young and united with the U.P. Church and was faithful unto the end.
