MARY STANLEY GANOE

Mary Stanley Ganoe, daughter of Josiah and Sarah Stanley, was born near Earlham, Iowa, August 9, 1870 and died at her home in Ankeny, Ia., December 16, 1917 being 47 years, 4 months and 7 days old.

Her girlhood days were spent in and around Earlham

She was a birthright member of the Friends Church, but at fourteen years of age she was converted at the United Brethern Church near her father's home and joined that church. Later she joined the Methodist Church of which she was a member at the time of her death.

She was married to Wiley Ganoe August 31, 1897 and to this union was born four children, Mrs. Joseph Harvey, Elizabeth, Esther and Myrou who with her husband, two brothers and sisters are left to mourn her loss.

She was ever true to her church, a faithful wife, a loving mother and devoted sister.

Her friends and neighbors always found her ready and willing to help in time of need. During the past year she was a constant sufferer but she bore her affliction patiently, with kind, cheerful words for those about her. Her faith and trust entered into her daily life and when asked what her greatest desire in life was, answered "To live and do right."

Note: Burial was in the Earlham cemetery.
