Madison County Resident for More Than 30 Years Succumbs
Miss Ethel Dougherty of Winterset, died at her home here Sunday after a long illness. She had been in failing health for two years, and for the past four months had been bedfast. She was 43 years of age.
Miss Dougherty had been a resident of Madison county for more than 30 years, coming here with her parents in 1908. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Dougherty, and was born near Massena in Cass county.
She is survived by her aged parents, of Winterset; and four sisters, Mrs. Pearl Barry of Cromwell, Mrs. Ida Toland of Winterset, her twin sister, Edna, and Ola, both at home.
Funeral services were conducted from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home Tuesday, in charge of the Rev. J. R. McNichols, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
