George Allen Breeding, former Madison county resident, died in a Des Moines hospital, Friday morning, July 14th, at the age of 60 years. His health had been poor for the past three years, having suffered a paralytic stroke, at that time, followed by a second stroke on Tuesday morning, July 11th, from which he never rallied.
Mr. Breeding was the son of George Miller and Sarah Alice McMichael Breeding, and was born April 30, 1879. He was married to Nora T. Worley on February 26, 1902. They continued to make their home in this county, and only moved to Des Moines ten years ago.
To Mr. and Mrs. Breeding were born ten children, seven boys and three girls, all of whom are living and were in Des Moines at the time of his death: Wesley, Alice Lorenz, Luther, Francine, Alfred, Paul, Orville and Wayne of Des Moines, and Melvin and Miss Edna Breeding of Winterset. In addition to the children, Mr. Breeding is survived by his wife and mother, five grandchildren, four sisters and three brothers.
The Rev. L. F. Davis conducted his funeral services at the Ramsey-Richards funeral home Sunday afternoon at two o'clock, and burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
