He is survived by the wife; five children: William, Guy, Eldon, Marvin and Gladys, all at home; three step-children: Leo Smith of Benton, Ill., Mrs. Myrtle Reed of Winterset, and Mrs. Orvetta Lovett of Iowa City; three brothers: John Beard of Webster township, Frank Beard of Kansas City, and Clyde Beard of Winterset; and three sisters: Mrs. Minnie Meddelson of Kansas City, Mrs. Pearl Keith of Jefferson, and Mrs. Ruth Pace of Winterset.

Funeral services were held last Saturday from the Anderson home for funerals, in charge of the Rev. Tom Foglesong, pastor of the Church of Christ. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
