1909Mrs. Polly Lippincott died very suddenly last Thursday afternoon at the home of Tom Bilderback in Adel. She had been in poor health for some three years and while her death was not entirely unexpected yet the suddenness of it was a great shock to her relatives and friends. She had been at the Tom Bilderback home for some time but desiring to return to her home relatives had gone to Adel on that day to bring her back and she expired while getting ready for the journey.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning at her late home conducted by Rev. Sprague, pastor of the M. E. Church. Interment was in Earlham cemetery.
Polly Bilderback was born October 18, 1850 in Missouri. She came to Dallas county in her early girlhood and was here married J. W. Bingman on March 10, 1874. To them was born one son, Leuard Bingman, now of Roseland, Neb. Mr. Bingman died August 17, 1884, after which the widow and son moved to Earlham where they have since made their home with the exception of three years which they spent in Des Moines.
Mrs. Bingman was married to W. A. Lippincott in Earlham on July 4, 1897. She is survived by the son, three brothers and two sisters, besides a wide circle of friends.
