JOHN W. WHEELER DIED IN OKLAHOMA

John W. Wheeler, a former resident of Winterset, died at his home in Stillwater, Okla., on Jan. 20, according to information received here this week. He was 87 years old. He was an uncle of Mrs. C. G. Lucas of Winterset.

Mr. Wheeler was a native of Ohio. He came here as a young man, and was married here, in 1890, to Miss Charlotte Breakenridge. They lived here until 1904, when they moved to Kansas, and later to Oklahoma.

He was a contractor and builder of church buildings while living here, and was responsible for a number of the buildings in this community.

He is survived by his wife and a daughter, Mrs. Ed Wallis of Stillwater. Funeral services were held and burial made in that city.
