ANNA CHRISTINA ANDERSON

On November 16th, 1920 at Earlham, Iowa, Anna Christina Anderson laid aside life's care and toil to be forever with her Lord. The cross was exchanged for the crown.

Anna Christina Anderson, daughter of Andus and Kristina Katrina Anderson, was born in Sweden on Sept. 7th, 1847. She spent her early life in this her native land and here it was she was married to Justus Blomquist and became the mother of four sons, Swan, now of Earlham, Iowa, John of Stuart, Iowa, August, of Earlham and David, of Washington State.

In 1878 this mother left her own people and country strengthened and inspired by a love for her boys and faith in her God and America as a place where she could make a home and living for her loved ones. In 1882 she became the wife of Chas. Anderson, and to them one son was born, Edward Anderson, who remained in the home with his mother, doing all a loving son could do until her passing.

The husband departed this life on February 11th, 1915.

Mrs. Anderson was a life-long member of the Swedish Lutheran Church but during her residence in Earlham she had attended and contributed of her means to the churches of Earlham, as there was no Lutheran church close by.

She leaves five sons, three daughters-in-law, eighteen grandchildren and a host of friends to mourn her passing.

Note: Burial was in the Earlham Cemetery
