Wilbur Reed, former Madison county resident, died last Friday, July 21st, at his home in Summerfield, Kan., after an extended illness. He was about 67 years of age, and had lived for a number of years in the Fairview neighborhood.

He is survived by his wife, who was the former Miss Margaret McDonald of Madison county, and their four children: Mrs. Howell Barton of Maquoketa, Ralph Reed, Mrs. Will Frazee and Miss Helen Reed all of Summerfield.

His funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in the United Presbyterian church at Summerfield and burial was made in that town.

Mrs. John Addy, Mrs. Ray Tyer and Mrs. Fred Alexander, sisters of Mrs. Reed, drove to Summerfield last Friday to attend the services and they returned to Winterset Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. John Spence and Mr. and Mrs. John McKee of Winterset and Harry McDonald of Greenfield drove to Summerfield Sunday morning and returned to their homes that night.
