Mrs. Jane Cleveland Passes at Age of 97 Years
Madison county's oldest living resident, Mrs. Jane E. Cleveland of Douglas township, died last Friday at the home of her son, Roy Cleveland, with whom she had lived in recent years. Had she lived until the sixteenth of next month, Mrs. Cleveland would have been 98 years of age.
Mrs. Cleveland was a native of New York state, where she was born on March 16, 1840. She was the widow of the late Aaron Cleveland of this county.
Funeral services were held Sunday from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home in Winterset, in charge of the Rev. Reed Kessler of the Worthington church. Burial was made in the U. B. cemetery.

Thursday, February 23, 1939Mrs. Jane Cleveland died Friday at the home of her son, Roy Cleveland, in Douglas township where she has made her home for the past several years. Mrs. Cleveland would have been 98 years old had she lived until March 16. She was born in New York state in 1840. She was the former wife of the late A. E. Cleveland of Earlham.
Funeral services in charge of Rev. Reed Kessler of the Worthington church were held in Winterset Sunday. Burial was in the U.B. cemetery.
