DEATH OF MR. W. R. HILL

Mr. W. R. Hill of this place, well known in this and surrounding counties died Monday morning, Jan. 15, 1912 at about 11 o’clock.

He was born Aug. 7, 1847 at Winchester, Indiana. He has been in declining health for the past year occasioned by an attack of ptomaine poisoning Jan. 10, 1911. He is survived by a wife and three daughters, Mrs. J. B. Smith, of Boise, Idaho, Miss Hattie, at home, and Mrs. Paul Monroe, of Dexter, and a son, Loren of Shannon City, Iowa; also a brother, Mr. M. D. Hill of this place and two sisters, Mrs. I. W. Horn, of Melbourne, and Mrs. Barclay Stanton, of Des Moines, besides grandchildren and a great grandchild. One daughter, Mrs. J. B. Smith and the son were unable to be present at the funeral.

He endured his illness without complaint or murmur and passed to the Home beyond with a beautiful hope.

The funeral services were held at the home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock conducted by Rev. V. B. Demaree of the Presbyterian Church, assisted by Rev. J. D. Mills of the Friends Church. Interment was made in the Earlham cemetery.
