Betty Lou Combs, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hershel Combs was born April 10th, 1939 at Earlham, at the home of Mrs. Combs' mother, Mrs. Pearl Briggs and departed this life at the Dexter hospital April 22nd, 1939 at 9:00 p.m.

It leaves to mourn its loss; its parents, grandparents and also great grandparents and a host of other relatives.

We had a little treasure once
She was our joy and pride
We loved her Ah! perhaps too well
For soon she slept and died
All is dark within our dwelling
Lonely are our hearts today
For the one we love so dearly
Has forever passed away

Services were held in the home of Mrs. Pearl Briggs Monday afternoon at 2:30 in charge of the Rev. S. R. Overholser of the Presbyterian church. The little body was laid to rest in the Earlham cemetery.
