Frank W. Krell was born in Pickaway county, Ohio, Feb. 23, 1873. He came with his parents to Webster township, this county, in the fall of 1875, where he grew to manhood. He was converted in the winter of 1889, and joined the church at Oak Grove. In 1902, he changed his membership to the M. E. church of Winterset, of which he was a member at death. He died at Clarinda hospital, April 1, 1911, aged 38 years, 1 month and eight days. He leaves to rest by Madison Lodge Odd Fellows and Sisters of Rebekahs. He leaves to mourn his departure, a father, five brothers, one sister and an aunt.

Pg 1Death of Frank Krell
Frank Krell, son of Henry Krell of this place, died at the state hospital at Clarinda, on Saturday, April 1st, after a brief illness from pulmonary consumption. The body was brought here for burial and the funeral held on Monday.
Services were conducted at the residence by Rev. A. A. Walburn, and at the grave the ritual service of that order. The deceased was a young man of exemplary habits and his death brings to his loved ones a sorrow that is shared by a wide circle of friends. A brief obituary sketch of his life will be found elsewhere in this paper.
