Obituary of Mrs. Henry Fudge

Amelia Eskew was born Nov. 3, 1844, in Cumberland county, Kentucky and departed this life August 17, 1911, aged 66 years, 9 months and 14 days. She was united in marriage to Henry Fudge in April of 1861 and in 1864 the family removed to Madison county, Iowa, where she has resided 47 years.

To her were born five children, three of whom survive her-John Milton Fudge of Winterset, Ia.; Creed Alexander Fudge of De Soto, Ia.; and Wm. Fudge of Churchville, Ia. She leaves also to mourn her loss eleven grandchildren, one of whom, Dolly Mackrill, she mothered from infancy. She leaves three sisters, two brothers and many friends.

She was converted and united with the United Brethren church at the age of 12, remaining faithful until death. She has been a member of the Providence class for many years, and there she will be greatly missed in all departments of the church, having done loyally and cheerfully the work she found to do.

Funeral services were held at Blair Chapel Sunday morning by her former pastor, Rev. S. M. Seik of Collins, Ia. Interment in the Blair Chapel cemetery.
