Mrs. A. A. Dudney, after a short illness, died of pneumonia Monday evening at 8 o'clock at her home in Walnut township. Mrs. Dudney was one of the pioneer settlers of this county. She was a woman highly respected and dearly beloved by all who knew her. She leaves to mourn her loss a husband and two daughters. The funeral was held today and interment was made in the Lorimor cemetery.

Mrs. A. A. Dudney died at her home in Madison County and the funeral was held from the M.E. church at this place, Thursday at noon, Rev. Booth preaching the funeral sermon. The remains were laid to rest in the Lorimor cemetery.

Page 5, Column 4Mrs. Ashley Dudney, wife of the prominent Monroe township farmer, died Monday night of pneumonia. She had been sick for a short time, and her death was a profound shock to her numerous friends in the county.
The funeral service was held from the church in Lorimor Thursday. Mrs. Dudney was Ellen Jewett before her marriage.
Her husband and two daughters survive her. She was a sister-in-law of Mrs. James Hann, of this city. Mr. and Mrs. Hann went to Lorimor Thursday to attend the funeral services.

Lyda Ellen Jewett was born March 1st, 1856 at Lyonville, Decatur county, Iowa of southern ancestry, and was married to Ashley A. Dudney on March 1st 1882. She died at her home in Monroe township on February 28, 1910, aged fifty-three years, eleven months and twenty-eight days.
She is survived by her husband, two daughters, one brother and two sisters.
The funeral service was at the Methodist church at Lorimor in charge of the members of the Eastern Star. She was laid to rest in the cemetery at Lorimor to await the resurrection of the Just.
