RUSSELL REID, AGED 20, DIED LAST THURSDAY

Young Graduate of Peru High School Succumbs to Long Illness

Russell Reid, son of Mr. and Mrs. John L. Reid of south of Winterset, died last Thursday after several years of failing health. In four more days, he would have been 21 years old.

The young man was a life-long resident of this county. He was born here August 21, 1917. He attended the rural schools of this county, went to school in Winterset, and graduated from high school at Peru with the class of 1937.

Near surviving relatives are his parents; and a sister, Mrs. Floyd Bennett, all of this county.

Funeral services were held from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home last Saturday in charge of the Rev. Tom Foglesong, pastor of the Church of Christ. Burial was made in the Earlham cemetery.
