Phillip Dixon Low was born in Wayne county, Indiana, Feb. 7, 1843. He died Dec. 30, 1915, aged 72 years, 10 months, 22 days.
At the age of 14, he came to Iowa with his parents, settling two miles north of Middle River in Madison County.
In 1877 he was united in marriage to Miss Darnell. To this union were born 11 children: four boys and seven girls. Besides leaving a wife and 11 children to mourn his loss, he leaves three brothers and one sisters, and a host of friends.
He was a kind, loving father and husband and respected by all who knew him.
The funeral was held at Wesley chapel on Sunday, Jan. 2nd, Rev. F. L. Spiller officiating. Interment was made at the Blanchard cemetery near Webster.
