IDA HOWELL SERVICES HELD LAST FRIDAY

Funeral services for Ida E. Howell, whose death occurred Nov. 25 at Des Moines, were held last Friday from the Patterson Methodist church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Eldon Haworth. Burial was made in Montpelier cemetery at Patterson.

Miss Howell was born on a farm northeast of Patterson on April 19, 1869, a daughter of Nelson and Margaret Howell. Her birthplace was a log house located south of the present home. When she was 3 years of age, the family moved into the present house, which remained her home for the remainder of her life.

She was 84 years of age at her death.

She was a member of the Patterson Methodist church since childhood, and was active in its work as long as her health permitted.

Miss Howell was the last surviving member of her family. A sister and seven brothers preceded her in death.
