The family came to Madison county, Iowa in the spring of 1894, locating in the neighborhood of Providence church, and moved to Winterset in January, 1908.

In the winter of 1905, she accepted Christ as her Savior and united with the United Brethren church. Her Christian experience has been full of comfort and joy to her and she died in the hope of immortality.

Besides those mentioned, she leaves an aged father of Quincy, Ill, and five brothers and four sisters, she being the oldest of the family. A brother David W. Hall of Galesburg, Ill., was present at the funeral.
