CHAS. C. ARMBREST DIES SUDDENLY

Winterset Business Man Is Stricken by Fatal Heart Attack

Charles C. Armbrest, well-known Winterset business man, died suddenly last Thursday morning, Feb. 17, of a heart attack at his home here. He was 60 years of age, and had been in apparent good health until shortly before the attack.

Mr. Armbrest was head of the Starless Products company here, a concern with which he had been associated for about 40 years. He had long been active in community affairs. He had been a member of the Winterset Fire department for 38 years, and was fire chief for 20 years. He held a number of important offices in the Odd Fellows lodge, and was a charter member of the Winterset Lions club.

His entire life was spent in Winterset. He was born here April 29, 1888, the son of Casper and Marietta Armbrest. On March 1, 1910, he was married to Pearl Shearer. They were the parents of two children.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Kathryne Robison of Clarion; a son, John Armbrest of Winterset; two grandchildren; two brothers, E. M. Armbrest of Winterset and S. N. Armbrest of Missouri; and three sisters, Mrs. Kate Ward of Redfield, Mrs. Nellie Roberts of Des Moines, and Rose Burd of Winterset.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the Richards Funeral home, in charge of the Rev. I. E. Linkletter, pastor of the Winterset Church of Christ. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
