GEORGE DOOLEY, SR. DIED LAST FRIDAY

Lee Township Farmer Is Victim of Heart Attack

George J. Dooley, Sr., well known Lee township farmer, succumbed to a heart attack at his home last Friday, Sept. 2. He was 63 years of age.

Mr. Dooley is survived by his wife, the former Goldie McKinzie to whom he was married in 1912. He also leaves three sons, George, Jr., of Winterset, Clarence of Martensdale and Francis at home; three daughters, Mrs. Vincent King of Cumming, Mrs. Carl Pierce of Des Moines, and Sister Mary Sheila of St. John's school at Victor; and three grandchildren. One son, John, died in infancy.

He also leaves five sisters, Mrs. Thomas King, Mrs. Joseph King, and Mrs. Steve Connors, all of Cumming; Mrs. Agnes Hamm of St. Marys, and Mrs. Dora Reimann of South Bend, Ore.

Funeral services were held Monday from St. Patrick's Catholic church in the Irish settlement, in charge of the Rev. Dennis P. Curtain, who officiated in the absence of the pastor, the Rev. J. J. Reynolds. It was a requiem high mass. Burial was made in St. Patrick's cemetery.
