FUNERAL AT STUART FOR JAMES N. COFFIN

James N. Coffin, a former resident of Madison county, died April 16 at Loveland, Colorado, according to word received here this week. He was 86 years of age.

Before moving to Colorado, he had farmed in the Blair Chapel neighborhood in this county, and had taught the Ebeneezer (Ebenezer) and McCloskey rural schools here.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eva Coffin of Loveland; and five children, Mrs. Rita McLaughlin of Escondido, Calif., Mrs. Margaret Meeker of Midland, Texas. Nathan Coffin of Loveland, Carlos Coffin of Centralia, Mo., and Mrs. Alice Wagner of Boulder, Colo. He also leaves 15 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held from the Friends church in Stuart April 20.
