Arthur A. Burger, a former resident of Jefferson township in this county, died at his home in Cedar Falls Sunday at the age of 68.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. William Burger, he was born and raised on the Burger farm in Jefferson township. He moved to Cedar Falls in 1912, after his graduation from Iowa State college two years earlier.
He was the first county agent of Black Hawk county, where Cedar Falls is located. He then represented the Black Hawk county Farm Crop Improvement association which later became part of the Farm Bureau.
Mr. Burger is survived by his wife, three children, three brothers, Roy Burger of Winterset, Albert Burger of Jefferson Twonship and Clarence Burger of Van Meter, and one sister, Mrs. Beatrice Trindle of Moline, Ill.
Services for Mr. Burger were held Wednesday afternoon, April 1 at the Dahl Funeral home in Cedar Falls.
