Services Monday for Dr. Bobenhouse

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at two o’clock for Dr. Harlan H. Bobenhouse, who died suddenly Friday shortly after noon at his home of a heart attack.

His death came as a stunning shock to the community, which he had served so faithfully for the past nineteen years.

When the news of his death began to circulate the people would say: “It just can’t be true.”

The feelings of his friends were perhaps best expressed by one lady who said: “Dr. Bobenhouse was not only our loyal doctor, but a beloved friend of the entire family, and we are simply crushed at his passing.”

The best eulogy is written in the grateful hearts of those whom he served through the years, whose calls he answered day or night if it was physically possible for him to do so.

The funeral services were in charge of Rev. Stephen Cree, pastor of the Earlham Methodist Church. His sermon topic was “Heroic Living.” Ralph Erb presented the Masonic service.
