MRS. JULIA BARTLETT DIED HERE FRIDAY

Death Occurs at Memorial Hospital for Life-Time Resident

Mrs. Julia A. Bartlett, a life-time resident of Madison county, died Friday, April 1, at Madison county Memorial hospital in Winterset. She was 70 years of age.

Mrs. Bartlett was the former Julia Gates, daughter of John and Ella Barnett Gates. She was married to Walter Bartlett on Aug. 28, 1918. They lived for many years in the Oak Grove community.

Mrs. Bartlett’s husband preceded her in death, and her nearest surviving relative is a niece, Mrs. Reva Wilson, of Macksburg.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Hugo Lehamann, pastor of the Fellowship church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
