MRS. MAGGIE KIVETT DIES AT 86 YEARS

Mrs. Maggie Kivett, long time resident of the Zion community northwest of Macksburg, died Tuesday at the age of 86 years. She was the widow of the late Howard Kivett. Her home had been in that community for 65 years. She was a native of Ireland, where she was born Jan. 6, 1863.

Funeral services were to be conducted this Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Wesley Chapel church, in charge of the Rev. Woodrow Caldwell, pastor of the Macksburg Baptist church. Burial was to be made in the Kivett cemetery.

RITES HELD THURSDAY FOR MAGGIE KIVETT

Long-Time Resident of Near Macksburg Leaves Five Children

Funeral services for Mrs. Maggie Kivett of Macksubrg, whose death occurred at her home near there on Tuesday, May 31, were held last Thursday at Wesley Chapel. The Rev. W. A. Caldwell, pastor of the Macksburg Baptist church, conducted the rites.

Mrs. Kivett was born in Ireland on Jan. 6, 1863, the daughter of Henry and Anna Givan. She came to the United States as a child, and her family lived in Wayne county for a number of years, then came to Madison county.

She was married in 1886, to William H. Kivett. They were the parents of three sons and two daughters, all of whom survive. They are: W. Elmer Kivett of Van Wert, Eugene, Lee and Anna Kivett of Orient, and Mrs. Grace Silverthorne of Perris, Calif. She also leaves seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

She had been a member of the Macksburg Baptist church since shortly after her marriage.
